Within Asia, India has 15 planned and announced ammonia capacity, with a total capacity of about 9.25Mtpa by 2025. The country is expected to spend a capital expenditure (capex) of $5.22bn. Major capacity additions will be from Reliance Industries Jamnagar Ammonia Plant and Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Dahej Ammonia Plant.

Africa has 21 planned and announced plants, of which Nigeria leads with ten Ammonia plants and total capacity of 7.39Mtpa by 2025. The capex for the plants is $4.09bn by 2025.

In FSU, Russia has 11 planned and announced plants with the capacity additions of about 7.77Mtpa by 2025. The country is expected to spend a total of $7.14bn by 2025. Oteko Krasnodar Ammonia Plant and Nakhodka Fertilizer Plant Nakhodka Ammonia Plant are the major companies for accounting the capacity additions in Russia.

Dangote Industries Ltd, Oteko and Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd will be the top three companies globally in terms of planned and announced capacity additions over the upcoming years.
