Among regions, North America is expected to lead in terms of the new build and expansion capacity additions from small-scale LNG liquefaction plants with 4,710ktpa of capacity likely to be added during the outlook period 2023 to 2027. Africa and Asia follow with capacity additions of 2,590ktpa and 2,550ktpa, respectively, during the outlook period. Among countries, the US leads globally with 4,090ktpa of new build and expansion small-scale liquefaction capacity additions by 2027. China and Oman follow with capacities of 2,510ktpa and 2,000ktpa, respectively.
