Yokogawa Europe and SICK Maihak have signed a mutual distribution agreement covering products in the field of process analytical instrumentation. At ACHEMA 2009, both companies announced that, as the product portfolios of both companies are to a large extent complementary, this co-operation would strengthen their respective positions in the international process industry marketplace.

Mr. Antoon van Osch, manager for global and European alliances at Yokogawa Europe, stated that the integration of SICK’s analysers will further improve the ability of Yokogawa to provide turnkey automation solutions for key process industries from a single supplier. In addition, Dr. Michael Markus, head of SICK’s analyser business unit, pointed out that the collaboration with Yokogawa will add specific product, application and system know-how to SICK’s product offering, which will complete and underline their market position as a full portfolio and solution provider in process analytics.
