ECF Special Alloys Receives National Board Authorisation

Exotic material specialist ECF Special Alloys has been awarded a sought-after manufacturing certificate.

The National Board certificate of ‘Authorisation to Register’ was awarded to ECF by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, and will work in conjunction with the company’s ASME U Stamp accreditation.

The certificate will enable ECF to register boilers, pressure vessels, and other pressure retaining items manufactured in accordance with a code of construction accepted by the national board.

ECF’s director Peter Elliott said: “It’s great to have the National Board accreditation, as we have had the U Stamp for a few years, and now they can work alongside one another.”
