Delivering a World of Turbine Services
Delivering a World of Turbine Solutions
Turbine Services (TS) are a provider of complete turbine service solutions to owners and operators of industrial gas turbines in the offshore oil and gas industry. Our employees have in excess of 2,500 man years of OEM experience in turbine maintenance, with particular specialisation in the heavy duty frame range of gas turbines designed by GE.
Our ISO 9001:2000 accreditation demonstrates our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, as do our registrations with Achilles, Supply Line, FPAL and Repro. TS was founded on the strength of our technical and engineering capability, reinforced by our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, and these continue to be the pillars of our business up to the present day.
Our infrastructure and international partnerships allow us to support our offshore customers internationally and to offer both immediate advice and site assistance to gas turbine users across the globe. Our products and services include:
Our engineering services include overhaul, troubleshooting, engineering and technical support, planning, control system retrofits, plant upgrades and relocation.
TS employ numerous hand-on, field technical advisors in all disciplines, as well as, experienced service support staff that have been in the power generation industry for many years and are thoroughly familiar with the demands of the offshore environment.
Complete management and maintenance services required for scheduled maintenance, unscheduled breakdown maintenance (with access to the TS strategic spare parts stockholding and rotor club), part repairs, plant modifications, condition monitoring, diagnostic trending, fault finding, plant improvements, and inspection planning for an agreed duration are available.
TS work with customers to develop and implement the most cost-effective way of running gas turbines offshore. This includes the option of recycled repaired combustion and hot gas path components, using the latest technology to extend maintenance periods and investigate peak firing possibilities.
Additionally, TS provides spares-management knowledge to maximise commercial and technical benefits for customers. A portfolio approach to stock holding extends the stock management work already carried out by customers.
TS offer an extensive and complete range of repair services from our global repair workshops, including repair of stationary and rotating parts, rotor overhauls, and specialised services including coatings, metallurgical evaluation, special laser and machining operations.
TS have earned a reputation for providing cost effective parts repair solutions through the use of patented, approved proprietary and innovative processes. TS also offer a component exchange arrangement, giving our offshore customers the possibility to minimise their inventory. This service is available for most capital spares parts.
TS maintain a substantial computerised inventory of spare parts for the GE type heavy-duty gas turbine. Our parts inventory is continuously monitored to ensure that the majority of customers’ spare parts requirements are satisfied ex-stock for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
The Sentinel turbine control systems are designed for the retrofit of GE gas turbine controls, Speedtronic and LA family of controllers.
Tiger continuously evaluates the state of the gas turbine by automating the knowledge of the best gas turbine engineers. By diagnosing the state of the turbine every second, a complete picture is built-up of the condition of the turbine. Tiger performs several thousand fault detection steps every second.
TS have trained over 2,000 engineers and employees. We have devised specialist courses and comprehensive training programmers for management, maintenance and operation personnel. These courses are available to suit all disciplines.
