Donut Safety Systems Ltd provides a complete safety advisory service from the planning of safety integrity management systems through to the design and commissioning of these systems both offshore and onshore. Principal products include the DONUT personal safety device and the TOES Tempsc Orientation and Evacuation System.

Through its portfolio of ‘industry standard’ products, Donut Safety Systems has been recognised by industry as a market leader in this field.

With offices providing training and recertification facilities in the UK, US, Canada, the Far East and Australia, Donut Safety Systems can provide an international product support service for its international operations.

DONUT PERSONAL ESCAPE DEVICE

DONUT is universally acknowledged as the industry standard for personal control escape systems with more than 10,000 units sold or hired internationally.

DONUT personal safety device – general arrangement.
DONUT liferaft enhancement unit.
The TOES TEMPSC Orientation and Evacuation System is a proven system for enhancing the performance of offshore survival craft.
DONUT Escape Unit for ship escape into liferafts (wet entry system).
DONUT Drill Derrick & Crane Escape Unit.

The system, based on simple abseiling methods which anyone can use with minimal instruction, provides an easy and versatile means of escape from offshore platforms as well as tankers, drill rigs, cranes and various onshore structures where a rapid controlled descent is required.

Its applications include:

  • Escape to sea as a tertiary means of escape
  • Escape into liferafts through the DONUS LES system either via a dry entry system (DES) or a wet entry system for accessing kickover or throwover liferafts
  • Escape from drill derricks as a monkey board escape system
  • Escape from cranes – onshore and offshore
  • Escape from FPSOs as a personal escape system or liferaft entry system

With alliance offices in Singapore, Australia and the USA providing DONUT hire as well as recertification and training services, the DONUT system provides the prospective client with a cost effective and accessible product to satisfy all the regulatory authority requirements internationally.

(TOES) TEMPSC ORIENTATION AND EVACUATION SYSTEM

TOES is a proven system to enhance the performance of offshore survival craft. The development and subsequent installation of TOES within UK North Sea waters confirmed an industry need for a low cost retrofittable system that can provide a risk reduction benefit on conventional survival craft performance whilst providing operators with long term maintenance cost savings.

Its application on survival craft with intrinsic maneuverability problems coupled with its clear advantages over competitive products provides operating companies with a cost effective means of addressing current legislative requirements whilst saving money.
