The industry’s overall hiring an increased by 13.45% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 34.07% share in June 2021, recording decrease of 1.36% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Argentina oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Argentina oil & gas industry in June 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.56% in June 2021, a 43.48% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25% share, an increase of 33.33% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 17.19%, registering a 57.14% rise from May 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6.25%, down 33.33% over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Argentina oil & gas industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
Exxon Mobil posted 60 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by Chevron with 2 jobs and a 100% growth. John Wood Group with 2 IT jobs and with jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while recorded a flat growth with job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 87.5%, up by 33.33% from May 2021. Entry Level positions with a 9.38% share, a growth of 500% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 3.13% share, down 60% over May 2021.
