The industry’s overall hiring a decreased by 4.73% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.72% share in August 2021, recording a decrease of 0.49% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 69.32% in August 2021, registering a 3.17% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 11.36% share, a flat growth over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 7.95%, registering a 16.67% rise from July 2021.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 7.95%, down 12.5% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Brazil’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 2.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil’s oil & gas industry during August 2021 over July 2021.

Exxon Mobil posted 82 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 1.2% over the previous month, followed by Baker Hughes Holdings with 3 jobs and a flat growth. Petrobras Distribuidora with 1 IT job and Yara International with 1 jobs, recorded a 50% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Syngenta recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 90.91%, down by 3.61% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 6.82% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.27% share, flat growth over July 2021.
