
Philippines oil & gas industry registered a 21.0% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.92% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 17.23% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 1.94% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Philippines oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.61% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines oil & gas industry in July 2021.
1) Computer Support Specialists recorded a share of 54.17% in July 2021, a 387.5% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 27.78% share, decline of 16.67% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.33%, registering a 200% rise from June 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 5.56%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in Philippines IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 89.19% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines oil & gas industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
TotalEnergies posted 53 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 120.83% over the previous month, followed by Henkel AGKGaA with 5 jobs and a 25% growth. Chevron with 5 IT jobs and Nufarm with 4 jobs, recorded a 16.67% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while Royal Dutch Shell recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.33%, up by 62.16% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with an 11.11% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 5.56% share, down 20% over June 2021.
