The largest producers of natural gas in Iraq are Ministry of Oil, Iraq, Dhi Qar Oil and Dana Gas. Ministry of Oil, Iraq was the largest producer of natural gas in 2022 with output up by 11% on 2021.

Dhi Qar Oil was the second-largest producer, with output up by 0.61%, and Dana Gas was third with a decrease of 0.1% on the previous year.

There are four natural gas producing fields in Iraq, all located onshore. The As Sulaymaniyah has the majority of the natural gas fields in the country with two.
