The largest producers of natural gas in the UK are TotalEnergies, Harbour Energy and BP. TotalEnergies was the largest producer of natural gas in 2022 with output up by 0.68% on 2021.

Harbour Energy was the second-largest producer, with output up by 27%, and BP was third with an increase of 19% on the previous year.

There are 111 natural gas producing fields in the UK of which 102 are located offshore and the rest onshore. The North Sea has the majority of the natural gas fields in the country with 96.
