The value marked an increase of 155.3% over the previous month of $14.26bn and a rise of 29.7% when compared with the last 12-month average of $28.08bn.

In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a drop of 11.85% with 186 deals in September 2022 when compared to the last 12-month average of 211 deals.

In value terms, North America led the activity with deals worth $16.07bn in September 2022.
