Asia-Pacific was the fastest growing region for data analytics hiring among offshore industry companies in the three months ending November.

The number of roles in Asia-Pacific made up 28.6% of total data analytics jobs – up from 21.5% in the same quarter last year.

That was followed by South & Central America, which saw a 0.5 year-on-year percentage point change in data analytics roles.

The figures are compiled by GlobalData, which tracks the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

The fastest growing country was India, which saw 16.3%of all data analytics job adverts in the three months ending November last year, increasing to 25.2% in the three months ending November this year.

That was followed by Hungary (up 0.9 percentage points), Brazil (up 0.5), and Canada (up 0.5).

The top country for data analytics roles in the offshore industry is the US, which saw 40.8% of all roles in the three months ending November.

Which cities are the biggest hubs for data analytics workers in the offshore industry?

Some 6.8% of all offshore industry data analytics roles were advertised in Houston (US) in the three months ending November – more than any other city.

That was followed by Bengaluru (India) with 6.8%, Mumbai (India) with 4.4%, and Chennai (India) with 3.1%.
