Argentina oil & gas industry registered a 2.0% decline in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 1.61% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 33.88% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 0.36% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Argentina oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Argentina oil & gas industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.19% in July 2021, a 45.71% drop over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 23.26% share, decline of 50% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 20.93%, registering an 18.18% decline from June 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 9.3%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Argentina IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Argentina oil & gas industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

Exxon Mobil posted 39 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 40.91% over the previous month, followed by John Wood Group with 2 jobs and a flat growth. DuPont de Nemours with 1 IT jobs and Schlumberger with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.42%, down by 44.83% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with an 18.6% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 6.98% share, down 25% over June 2021.
