The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 9.72% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 13.83% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.54% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Baker Hughes Holdings IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Baker Hughes Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 75.59% in September 2021, and a 5.49% rise over August 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 11.81% in September 2021, and registered growth of 7.14%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.3% in September 2021, a 166.67% rise from August 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Baker Hughes Holdings

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 44.09% share, which marked an 18.84% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 22.83%, registering a 141.67% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 21.26% share and an 8% rise over August 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 9.45% and a month-on-month increase of 1100%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 2.36%, registering a 40% drop over the previous month.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 33.07% share in September 2021, a 33.33% decline over August 2021. US featured next with an 18.11% share, up 9.52% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 7.87% share, an increase of 100% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.99%, down by 6.98% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 25.98% share, a growth of 43.48% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.02% share, up 366.67% over August 2021.
