The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.27% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 15.02% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2021, and recorded a 0.93% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Baker Hughes IT hiring in November 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Baker Hughes, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 72.09% in November 2021, and a 17.7% drop over October 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 11.63% in November 2021, and registered a decline of 6.25%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.2% in November 2021, a 100% rise from October 2021.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Baker Hughes
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in November 2021 with a 38.76% share, which marked a 27.54% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 28.68%, registering an 8.82% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 27.91% share and a flat growth over October 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 2.33% and a month-on-month decline of 66.67%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 2.33%, registering a 50% rise over the previous month.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 31.78% share in November 2021, a 14.58% decline over October 2021. US featured next with a 25.58% share, up 6.45% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 9.3% share, an increase of 20% compared with October 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Baker Hughes IT hiring activity in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.47%, down by 18.75% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 31.01% share, a decline of 14.89% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.53% share, up 83.33% over October 2021.
