Germany-based company BASF’s IT hiring rose 12.8% in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 15.4% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 5.7% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022, and recorded a 0.02% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops BASF IT hiring in July 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by BASF, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 50.7% in July 2022, and a 56.52% rise over June 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 19.72% in July 2022, and registered a decline of 17.65%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 18.31% in July 2022, a 62.5% rise from June 2022.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at BASF
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in July 2022 with a 52.11% share, which marked a 94.74% rise over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 39.44%, registering a 12% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with an 8.45% share and a 33.33% drop over June 2022.
China commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 46.48% share in July 2022, a 266.67% growth over June 2022. Germany featured next with a 38.03% share, up 17.39% over the previous month. US recorded an 8.45% share, a decline of 25% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead BASF IT hiring activity in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.61%, up by 26.32% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.94% share, a growth of 112.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.45% share, down 14.29% over June 2022.
