Germany-based company BASF’s IT hiring rose 17.8% in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 0.26% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 7% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 0.99% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops BASF IT hiring in October 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by BASF, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 79.73% in October 2021, and a 73.53% rise over September 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 14.86% in October 2021, and registered growth of 57.14%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4.05% in October 2021, a 200% rise from September 2021.
Europe drives IT hiring at BASF
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 48.65% share, which marked a 63.64% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 33.78%, registering a 31.58% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 16.22% share and a 71.43% rise over September 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.35% and a month-on-month flat growth.
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 48.65% share in October 2021, a 63.64% growth over September 2021. Malaysia featured next with a 28.38% share, up 90.91% over the previous month. US recorded a 16.22% share, an increase of 100% compared with September 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead BASF IT hiring activity in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.38%, up by 65.71% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 12.16% share, a growth of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.46% share, up 16.67% over September 2021.
