The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 40.26% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 11.92% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2022, and recorded a 0.42% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops BP IT hiring in November 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by BP, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 44.44% in November 2022, and a 63.64% drop over October 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 38.89% in November 2022, and registered a decline of 36.36%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.11% in November 2022, a 66.67% drop from October 2022.

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in November 2022 with a 72.22% share, which marked a 35% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 16.67%, registering a 57.14% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with an 11.11% share and an 88.24% drop over October 2022.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 72.22% share in November 2022, an 18.75% decline over October 2022. US featured next with a 16.67% share, down 57.14% over the previous month. Hungary recorded an 11.11% share, a decline of 60% compared with October 2022.
