The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.41% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 22.61% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 2.15% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 101.01% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil’s oil & gas industry in March 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 16.7% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil’s oil & gas industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Ecopetrol posted 340 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a drop of 22.37% over the previous month, followed by Exxon Mobil with 50 jobs and a 47.06% growth. Syngenta with 2 IT jobs and Schlumberger with 1 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Brenntag recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.89%, down by 14.13% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.58% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6.53% share, up 4% over February 2022.
