The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.44% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.91% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.02% over the last three-month average share.

2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 28.57% share, a decrease of 25% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 20.24%, registering a 6.25% rise from August 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 10.71%, down 40% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 12.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Sika posted 37 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 27.59% over the previous month, followed by BASF with 23 jobs and a 4.55% growth. Yara International with 6 IT jobs and Equinor with 4 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a 300% growth, respectively, while Henkel AGKGaA recorded a decline of 20% with 4 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.95%, flat growth from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 13.1% share, registered an increase of 22.22% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.95% share, down 61.54% over August 2022.
