
Germany’s oil & gas industry registered a 7.0% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 12.96% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.85% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.01% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry in July 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 38.16% in July 2022, registering a 3.33% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed an 18.42% share, a decrease of 17.65% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 18.42%, registering a 75% rise from June 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 14.47%, down 45% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 39.58% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
BASF posted 27 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 17.39% over the previous month, followed by Sika with 24 jobs and a 60% growth. Yara International with 12 IT jobs and Henkel AGKGaA with 3 jobs, recorded a 71.43% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Equinor recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.68%, down by 13.85% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18.42% share, registered an increase of 16.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 7.89% share, up 500% over June 2022.
