Hungary’s oil & gas industry registered a 4.9% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 17.11% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 15.54% share in September 2021, recording a decrease of 0.84% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Hungary’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 101.61% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Hungary’s oil & gas industry in September 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 45.16% in September 2021, registering a 40% flat growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 20.97% share, a decrease of 23.53% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 20.97%, registering an 18.18% rise from August 2021.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 9.68%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Hungary’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 9.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Hungary’s oil & gas industry during September 2021 over August 2021.

Exxon Mobil posted 45 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by BP with 6 jobs and a 200% growth. MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas with 3 IT jobs and Albemarle with 3 jobs, recorded a 50% decline and a 50% flat growth, respectively, while Baker Hughes Holdings recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during September 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.19%, up by 15% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 19.35% share, registered an increase of 9.09% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.45% share, down 20% over August 2021.
