IT jobs claimed a 3.03% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.08% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops John Wood Group IT hiring in September 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by John Wood Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 40.63% in September 2021, and a 7.14% drop over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 34.38% in September 2021, and registered growth of 37.5%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 21.88% in September 2021, a 30% drop from August 2021.
Europe drives IT hiring at John Wood Group
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 34.38% share, which marked a 57.14% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 31.25%, registering a 41.18% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 25% share and a flat growth over August 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 9.38% and a month-on-month flat growth.
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 25% share in September 2021, a 60% growth over August 2021. Canada featured next with a 15.63% share, up 66.67% over the previous month. India recorded a 12.5% share, a decline of 33.33% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead John Wood Group IT hiring activity in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 46.88%, down by 6.25% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 34.38% share, a growth of 10% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Senior job ads with 9.38% share, up 50% over August 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 9.38%, recording a month-on-month decline of 25%.
