UK-based company John Wood Group’s IT hiring rose 10.9% in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 4.85% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 3.63% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2021, and recorded a 0.42% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops John Wood Group IT hiring in November 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by John Wood Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 30.77% in November 2021, and a 20% rise over October 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 28.21% in November 2021, and registered growth of 22.22%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 25.64% in November 2021, a 42.86% rise from October 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at John Wood Group

North America emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in November 2021 with a 53.85% share, which marked a 250% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 20.51%, registering a 38.46% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 15.38% share and a 100% rise over October 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 5.13% and a month-on-month decline of 66.67%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 5.13%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

Canada commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 28.21% share in November 2021, a 266.67% growth over October 2021. US featured next with a 25.64% share, up 233.33% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 15.38% share, an increase of 200% compared with October 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead John Wood Group IT hiring activity in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, up by 73.33% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.51% share, a growth of 33.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.82% share, up 25% over October 2021.
