UK-based company John Wood Group’s IT hiring rose 23.9% in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 3.97% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 4.5% share in the company’s total hiring activity in February 2022, and recorded a 0.71% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops John Wood Group IT hiring in February 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by John Wood Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 47.46% in February 2022, and a 47.37% rise over January 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 27.12% in February 2022, and registered growth of 128.57%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 18.64% in February 2022, a 175% rise from January 2022.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at John Wood Group
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in February 2022 with a 47.46% share, which marked an 115.38% rise over the previous month.
North America stood next with 27.12%, registering a 100% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 20.34% share and a 140% rise over January 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 3.39% and a month-on-month decline of 71.43%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.69%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
Australia commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 30.51% share in February 2022, a 100% growth over January 2022. US featured next with a 20.34% share, up 100% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 15.25% share, an increase of 80% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead John Wood Group IT hiring activity in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 49.15%, up by 93.33% from January 2022. Entry Level positions with a 22.03% share, a growth of 116.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 18.64% share, flat growth over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 10.17%, recording a month-on-month increase of 200%.
