Abraxas Petroleum recorded a decrease of 1.8% in total oil and gas production to 8,595.65 boe/d in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production of Abraxas Petroleum declined 11% in February 2022 from 9,658.2 boe/d in February 2021.

On a YTD basis, the company’s total oil and gas production decreased by 19.82% from the same period in 2021.

The company’s oil production declined 0.73% to 3,787.98 bd in February 2022 from the previous month, while gas production declined by 2.63% to 27.82 mmcf/d. On a YTD basis, oil production decreased by 30.73% in 2022 when compared with the same period in 2021, while gas production declined by 8.55%. Out of the total oil and gas production in February 2022, oil production held a 44.07% share, while gas production held a 55.8% share.


Looking at the states where Abraxas Petroleum recorded the highest oil and gas production in February 2022, North Dakota figured at the top, accounting for a 60.94% share. The company produced 5,340.83 boe/d in the state in February 2022, a decrease of 1.25% from the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the company produced 10,749.24 boe/d in North Dakota in 2022, recording a decrease of 50.32% from the same period in 2021.



Abraxas Petroleum witnessed the highest oil and gas production in Mckenzie county in February 2022. Out of all the counties, Mckenzie county held a share of 61.65% for the firm.
