Barnett Shale witnessed an increase of 0.67% in total oil and gas production to 5,77,159.34 boe/d in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production in Barnett declined 0.09% in November 2021 from 5,77,665.7 boe/d in November 2020. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play decreased by 7.34% from the same period in 2020.
In Barnett, oil production grew 4.04% in November 2021 as compared with the previous month, while gas production increased by 0.23% to 3,014.08 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production in the play increased by 9.73% in 2021 when compared with the same period in 2020, while gas production declined by 8.56%. Out of the total oil and gas production in November 2021, oil held a 9.26% share, while gas had a 90.04% share.
In Barnett, BKV Barnett emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 92,630.5 boe/d in November 2021, an increase of 0.41% from the previous month. The company held a 0.01% share in oil production and 17.74% share in gas production in November 2021.
On a YTD basis, the company registered an 8.69% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2020.
Compared with other counties within Barnett Shale, Tarrant county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 27.92% share in November 2021. The county witnessed a 0.51% increase in production to 1,61,126.99 boe/d in November 2021 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, it registered a decline of 9.04% in total production from the same period in 2020.
