Barracuda is a conventional oil development located in shallow water in Nigeria and is operated by Emerald Energy Resources. Discovered in 2020, Barracuda lies in block OML 141 (OPL 229), with water depth of around 118 feet.
The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2023.

Production from Barracuda
Production from the Barracuda conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2023 and is forecast to peak in 2028, to approximately 22,964 bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2060.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 95.38 Mmboe, comprised of 95.38 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
