Contract activities in downstream segment in South America down 50% in December 2021

The downstream segment contracts in South America registered a decrease of 50% with one contract in December 2021, when compared with the previous month’s total of two contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

A total of one contract were registered in the downstream segment of South America during the month, remained flat when compared with the last 12-month average contracts.


In terms of the number of contracts in South America, the upstream segment contributed the most with 20 contracts in December 2021, followed by midstream and downstream segments with three and one contract, respectively.

During the month, the majority of downstream segment contracts awarded in the South America were in the design & engineering and procurement with one contract each.
