Eagle Ford Shale witnessed an increase of 5.53% in total oil and gas production to 20,15,334.2 boe/d in July 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production in Eagle Ford declined 18.33% in July 2020 from 24,67,672.34 boe/d in July 2019. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play decreased by 6.96% from the same period in 2019.
In Eagle Ford, oil production grew 11.36% in July 2020 as compared with the previous month, while gas production increased by 1.63% to 5,579.89 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production in the play decreased by 12.95% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 2.14%. Out of the total oil and gas production in July 2020, oil held a 44.21% share, while gas had a 47.74% share.

By GlobalDataIn Eagle Ford, EOG Resources emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 2,75,130.36 boe/d in July 2020, an increase of 12.1% from the previous month. The company held a 20.32% share in oil production and 8.74% share in gas production in July 2020.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 14.7% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2019.
Compared with other counties within Eagle Ford Shale, Karnes county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 20% share in July 2020. The county witnessed a 1.2% decrease in production to 4,03,116.46 boe/d in July 2020 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, it registered a decline of 5.77% in total production from the same period in 2019.
