The 1,900km-long, upcoming EastMed Project will be operated by IGI Poseidon. This deepwater, onshore, ultra-deepwater, gas pipeline, with a maximum diameter of 42 inches, will start in Mediterranean Sea (Israel) and ends in Epirus (Greece).

The EastMed Project is expected to commence operations in 2025 and will be owned by Energean, Snam, Publigaz, Enagas, Copelouzos group, and others.

 


 

The EastMed Project is associated with the 216km IGI Poseidon “Offshore Section”.

During the period 2021-2025, the EastMed Project is expected to witness an estimated capex of $6,370m.

About IGI Poseidon

 

IGI Poseidon S.A. is a joint venture company of Edison International (100% Edison S.p.A.) and Depa S.A. The company constructs, owns and operates a new offshore pipeline that will connect the Greek and Italian natural gas transportation systems.
