The 2,000km-long, upcoming EastMed project will be operated by IGI Poseidon. According to GlobalData, who tracks more than 8,000 active and developing pipelines worldwide, the deepwater, onshore, ultra-deepwater gas pipeline, with a maximum diameter of 42 inches, will start in Mediterranean Sea (Israel) and ends in Epirus (Greece). The EastMed project is expected to commence operations in 2027 and will be owned by Energean, Snam, Enagas, Publigaz, Copelouzos group, and others.

The EastMed project is associated with the 216km IGI Poseidon "Offshore Section".

During the period 2021-2025, the EastMed project is expected to witness an estimated capex of $3,360m.
