Louisiana witnessed a decrease of 4.86% in total oil and gas production to 17,00,525.05 boe/d in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production grew 5.68% in December 2021 from 16,09,132.65 boe/d in December 2020. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in 2021 increased by 5.96% from the same period in 2020.

In December 2021, oil production grew 2.07% to 96,890.33 bd as against the previous month, while gas production declined by 5.25% to 9,301.08 mmcf/d.

On a YTD basis, oil production decreased by 9.69% in 2021 when compared with the same period in 2020, while gas production rose by 7.09%. Out of the total oil and gas production in December 2021, oil held a 5.7% share, while gas had a 94.3% share.
