Mississippi witnessed an increase of 5.83% in total oil and gas production to 1,11,107.32 boe/d in July 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production declined 22.24% in July 2020 from 1,42,893.34 boe/d in July 2019. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in 2020 decreased by 22.49% from the same period in 2019.
In July 2020, oil production grew 1.29% to 38,613.71 bd as against the previous month, while gas production up by 8.41% to 420.46 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production decreased by 15.69% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 25.3%. Out of the total oil and gas production in July 2020, oil held a 34.75% share, while gas had a 65.24% share.
In Mississippi, Denbury emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 78,007.24 boe/d in July 2020, an increase of 6.06% from the previous month. The company held a 46.42% share in oil production and 82.88% share in gas production in July 2020.
