Nene Marine is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Congo Republic and is operated by Eni Congo. The field is located in block Marine XII, Marine XII A, and Nene Banga, with water depth of 92 feet.
Two expansion projects are associated with the Nene Marine conventional oil field, namely Nene Phase 3 and Nene Phase 2B Full Field Development. The expansion projects are currently in the feasibility and construction stage.
Field participation details
The field is owned by Eni, Lukoil Oil and Societe Nationale des Petroles du Congo.
Production from Nene Marine
The Nene Marine conventional oil field recovered 20.98% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production was approximately 39.71 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 57 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2045. The field currently accounts for approximately 12% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 196.05 Mmboe, comprised of 158.43 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 225.71 bcf of natural gas reserves. Nene Marine conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.04% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
Information on the field is sourced from GlobalData’s fields database that provides detailed information on all producing, announced and planned oil and gas fields globally. Not all companies mentioned in the article may be currently existing due to their merger or acquisition or business closure.
