Nkala Marine is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Congo Republic and is operated by Eni Congo. Discovered in 2015, Nkala Marine lies in block Marine XII and Nkala, with water depth of around 125 feet.

The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2022. The Nkala Marine conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately one wells.

The field is owned by Eni, Societe Nationale des Petroles du Congo and Lukoil Oil.


Production from Nkala Marine

Production from the Nkala Marine conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2022 and is forecast to peak in 2025, to approximately 7,146 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 105 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2038.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 139.5 Mmboe, comprised of 40.34 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 594.96 bcf of natural gas reserves.
