Oasis Petroleum records 1.38% decrease in production in September 2021

Oasis Petroleum recorded a decrease of 1.38% in total oil and gas production to 89,481.37 boe/d in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production of Oasis Petroleum declined 15.5% in September 2021 from 105,890.89 boe/d in September 2020.

On a YTD basis, the company’s total oil and gas production decreased by 16.98% from the same period in 2020.

The company’s oil production declined 1.88% to 52,700.09 bd in September 2021 from the previous month, while gas production declined by 0.65% to 213.33 mmcf/d. On a YTD basis, oil production decreased by 21.77% in 2021 when compared with the same period in 2020, while gas production declined by 8.98%. Out of the total oil and gas production in September 2021, oil production held a 58.9% share, while gas production held a 41.1% share.


Looking at the states where Oasis Petroleum recorded the highest oil and gas production in September 2021, North Dakota figured at the top, accounting for a 19.49% share. The company produced 72,370.26 boe/d in the state in September 2021, a decrease of 2.5% from the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the company produced 730,279.4 boe/d in North Dakota in 2021, recording a decrease of 28.53% from the same period in 2020.



Oasis Petroleum witnessed the highest oil and gas production in Mckenzie county in September 2021. Out of all the counties, Mckenzie county held a share of 51.66% for the firm. The company produced 46,226.89 boe/d in Mckenzie county in September 2021, a decrease of 1.66% in production when compared with the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the county produced 475,015.93 boe/d for the company in 2021, a 21.88% decrease from the same period in 2020.
