Offshore oil and gas contracts registered a decrease of 5% in September 2022 with a total of 230 contracts, when compared with 242 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 13%, when compared with an average of 264 contracts over the last 12 months.
Upstream segment had the majority of contracts in the offshore terrain with 206 contracts and a 90% share, followed by midstream with 14 contracts.

Europe led the offshore contracts activity with 133 contracts and a 58% share in September 2022, followed by North America and Asia-Pacific with 28 (12%) and 27 (12%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the offshore were awarded in the operations & maintenance with 170 contracts, followed by design & engineering and procurement with 45 and 42 contracts, respectively.
