Two expansion projects are associated with the Bab conventional oil field, namely the Bab Further Development and the Bab Sustainable Project. The expansion projects are currently in the construction and commissioning stage, targeting start-up during 2023 – 2027.
Production from Bab
The Bab conventional oil field recovered 41.83% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2037. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2069. The field currently accounts for approximately 10% of the country’s daily output.
