Production from Bonga Complex
The Bonga Complex conventional oil field recovered 84.73% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2016. The peak production was approximately 203.85 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 4.00 Mmcfd of natural gas and 114 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2038. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 196.08 Mmboe, comprised of 183.67 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 74.43 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves. Bonga Complex conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.04% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
