Nong Yao is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Thailand and is operated by MP G11 (Thailand). According to GlobalData, who tracks more than 34,000 active and developing oil and gas fields worldwide, the field is located in block G11/48, with water depth of 253 feet. Buy the profile here.

An expansion project is associated with the Nong Yao, namely the Nong Yao Development. This project is currently in the construction stage, expected to start in 2024.

Field participation details

The field is owned by Palang Sophon and Valeura Energy.

Production from Nong Yao

The Nong Yao conventional oil field recovered 31.99% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2023. The peak production was approximately 10.64 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 3.00 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2057. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 53.29 Mmboe, comprised of 51.21 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 12.47 bcf of natural gas reserves. Nong Yao conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
