Production from North West Shelf Venture

The North West Shelf Venture conventional gas field recovered 86.79% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2010. The peak production was approximately 156.95 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 445.00 Mmcfd of natural gas, 30.74 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids and 2,052 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2042. The field currently accounts for approximately 19% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 802.79 Mmboe, comprised of 76.10 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 525.98 bcf of natural gas reserves, 3,807.96 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves and 4.37 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. North West Shelf Venture conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.27% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
