An expansion project is associated with the OML 30, namely the OML 30 Development. This project is currently in the feasibility stage.

Field participation details

The field is owned by Al Mirqab Capital, NNPC and Shoreline Energy International.

Production from OML 30

The OML 30 conventional oil field recovered 92.78% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1971. The peak production was approximately 273.51 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2039. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 116.43 Mmboe, comprised of 116.43 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. OML 30 conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.03% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
