The Western Libya Gas Project (Wafa and Bahr Essalam) conventional gas field recovered 69.61% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2015. The peak production was approximately 76.61 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 1,143.00 Mmcfd of natural gas and 26.38 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2054. The field currently accounts for approximately 17% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 640.97 Mmboe, comprised of 65.98 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 2,787.54 bcf of natural gas reserves and 110.40 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves.
