Oklahoma witnessed a decrease of 1.49% in total oil and gas production to 7,77,265.03 boe/d in July 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production declined 18.55% in July 2020 from 9,54,270.99 boe/d in July 2019. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in 2020 decreased by 14.54% from the same period in 2019.

In July 2020, oil production grew 3.35% to 4,84,123.8 bd as against the previous month, while gas production declined by 8.55% to 1,700.22 mmcf/d.

On a YTD basis, oil production decreased by 14.81% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 14.15%. Out of the total oil and gas production in July 2020, oil held a 62.29% share, while gas had a 37.71% share.

In Oklahoma, Continental Resources emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 81,735.1 boe/d in July 2020, a decrease of 1.77% from the previous month. The company held a 13.7% share in oil production and 5.26% share in gas production in July 2020.

On a YTD basis, the company registered a 15.22% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2019.



Compared with other counties in Oklahoma, Grady county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 13.08% share in July 2020. The county witnessed an 18.13% increase in production to 1,01,649.33 boe/d in July 2020 when compared with the previous month.
