Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered an increase of 11% with a total of 21 contracts in April 2022, when compared with 19 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 9%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 23 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 17 contracts and an 81% share in April 2022, followed by Middle East and North America with two (10%) and one (5%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 14 contracts, followed by procurement and construction with eight and four contracts, respectively.
