Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 16% with a total of 26 contracts in August 2022, when compared with 31 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked an increase of 4%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 25 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 11 contracts and a 42% share in August 2022, followed by Europe and Middle East with six (23%) and five (19%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 16 contracts, followed by procurement and construction with 11 and three contracts, respectively.
