Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 63% with a total of six contracts in February 2022, when compared with 16 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 77%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 26 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific and Europe held the top position with two contracts each and a 33% share in February 2022, followed by Middle East with one contract (17%).

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the design & engineering with five contracts, followed by procurement and construction with three and two contracts, respectively.
