Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered an increase of 12% with a total of 19 contracts in June 2022, when compared with 17 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 17%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 23 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 10 contracts and a 53% share in June 2022, followed by Europe and Middle East with five (26%) and four (21%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 12 contracts, followed by procurement and construction with 10 and four contracts, respectively.
