Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 7% with a total of 26 contracts in September 2021, when compared with 28 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 4%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 27 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 12 contracts and a 46% share in September 2021, followed by Europe and North America with six (23%) and four (15%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 16 contracts, followed by procurement and operations & maintenance with nine and eight contracts, respectively.
